Why is it that truth explains all\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And what we need to hear?<\/span><\/p>\n

If truth is in the eye of the beholder<\/span><\/p>\n

What if the teller\u2019s belief is wrong?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why is it that young children are led to believe<\/span><\/p>\n

That fairies and jolly bearded men give us presents?<\/span><\/p>\n

Yet, we tell them of dangers of the world<\/span><\/p>\n

The truth of predators and prey.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why is it that the consequences of our actions<\/span><\/p>\n

Are supposed to fit the crime?<\/span><\/p>\n

But some of those who break the law<\/span><\/p>\n

Get rewarded for their misdeeds.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why is it when promises are given<\/span><\/p>\n

With trust to reassure us?<\/span><\/p>\n

There are promises that are broken<\/span><\/p>\n

Only to leave us in despair.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Why are there questions asked by many<\/span><\/p>\n

For answers sought to give us peace?<\/span><\/p>\n

Responded with thoughtless actions\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Using violence, distrust, and hate<\/span><\/p>\n

And why, in a world that needs<\/span><\/p>\n

So much love and care?<\/span><\/p>\n

Do we squander away the beauty and hope<\/span><\/p>\n

Of our future.<\/span><\/p>\n
