Time Thoughts<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

For those of you that want to know how my mind works when I write, here\u2019s how I wrote this piece:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. I was in my writing group on Zoom, when the story spark was about to be given out, and my computer crashed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. By the time I had gotten back to the meeting the Sparks were posted and I had lost 5 minutes of the 20 minutes I had to write<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. The Story Spark was posted: \u201cOn Time\u201d, with six suggested prompts. I literally had no time to lose and no idea what to write. Seeing that the topic was \u201cOn Time\u201d I just began to write whatever came into my mind. I basically brainstormed ideas with myself and this is what I wrote:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I\u2019m lost in time. Well, that\u2019s easy for me to say. Since time is a relative thing. Basically, I have no time to spare. Too many things on my plate and I can\u2019t find the time to fit them all in.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Time\u2019s a-wasting. That is because I have deadlines and expectations that don\u2019t fit into the time frame I have to do them, so I just let them sit.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Sometimes there is a lot of time to do things. And because of that, I do not actually accomplish anything.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    I wish I could stop time and have the time to be me.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a04. It was at this point that my mind began to focus and with maybe 10 minutes left to write, I went on with this:<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Time flows in an effervescent stream<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    It gathers your needs and leaves little patches<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Those patches are yours to use as you wish<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    You may fill them with work<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    You may fill the with play<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    But most of the time you just waste them away.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Is it time to begin and fulfill all your dreams<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Or time to reflect and relive what you\u2019ve done<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Let the deadlines move on<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Let your cares pass on by<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Let the time that you spend<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Create memories that bind.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    For time is your master<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    It determines your fate.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    It makes you feel anxious<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    It makes you feel rushed<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    It gives pause for solace<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    And time to be you.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Make sure that you use it<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    As best as you can<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Though time may be endless for worlds that exist<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    We\u2019re stuck in one lifetime that doesn\u2019t persist.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    This time to write\u2019s over<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    As time tends to do.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    Till next time I see you.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

    This writing is through.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
