Ode to Winter<\/span><\/p>\n

The blustery winds cast a chill upon the air.\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The outdoor chimes ring as our house shakes with each push and pull.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s cold outside;<\/span><\/p>\n

Too cold to explore, to be present without some protection<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re stuck inside, safe from the elements, yet trapped by Mother Nature\u2019s fervor.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fireplace stays empty. <\/span><\/p>\n

Flames of warmth not allowed to go up the chimney<\/span><\/p>\n

Allowing the cold air to creep in through crevices in the foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sights through windows, though lovely with their crystalline structures<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And glistening reflections remain aloof and distant.<\/span><\/p>\n

The only comforts are the warmth of each other, <\/span><\/p>\n

The fleece lined clothing, the closeness of the flannel blankets pressed against our bodies,<\/span><\/p>\n

And the thoughts of better days ahead. <\/span><\/p>\n
